| This 3/4 of an acre lot was aquired during the logging era in the early 1900s. In 1925 the family built a small Redwood 1/2 log cabin to stay in while they enjoyed the fishing season. In time the family built in 1960 a large Redwood home. This home has so much warmth and charm with a large living room open beam ceiling, beams are hand hued Redwood tounge and grove Redwood walls through out the house mixed with freshly painted walls, kitchen and bathroom recently remodeled kitchen with modern gas stove,oven broiler,side by side refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. This home sleeps seven or more we have a authentic Sioux tepi which for an extra charge can be rented to sleep two to four. Our home has three bedrooms, one room a queen bed. One room double bed, one room three single beds, one large bathroom with double sink vanity with tub and separate shower, separate dining room, central heating makes this a cozy year round rental. No reason to be bored, there is cable TV-DVD, VCR, Boise wave radio with CD player lots of music and movies. Out the living room door you are on the deck over looking the South Fork of the Eel river. This unique river is the only one to flow South to North on the hole Continental US. Our river is so beautiful with water ankle to twenty feet deep swimming holes every bend is truely a sight to see. Our home is on the edge of a small town in Northern California named Redway. Elevation four hundred fifty feet. Population one thousand four hundred. Our street Eel river lane is off of Briceland road which is the only road into the center of the Lost Coast. The Lost Coast is the only stretch of the Pacific Coast from San Diego California to Canada that is undeveloped and unexcessable. This land unchanged for centuries is a three hundred thousand foot mountain range climbing right out of the ocean. This is truely some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Our home is located in an old growth Redwood forest most of the street is State park with a few privately owned homes. On our property there are twenty four Redwood trees and one old growth older than Christ. Just step out of the front door and walk among the "Giants". (Redwood trees) Enjoy the cooler air under the trees on a hot summers day, there isn't a smell quite like it. House Rules 1) Your pet is welcome on approval by us. 2) No smoking in house outside only. 3) When going to bed please shut off all outside lights. 4) Place extra garbage in outside trash can. 5) Please help us keep our home to the high standards and quality it is. |
